Mary Maxwell’s Weight Loss Story

My name is Mary and I am a survivor. In the short 24 years I've been on this Earth I have faced many hardships. I do not let the past problems define who I am, I am defined by how I conquered those trials and turned them into triumph.

My name is Mary and I am a survivor. In the short 24 years I’ve been on this Earth I have faced many hardships. I do not let the past problems define who I am, I am defined by how I conquered those trials and turned them into triumph.
Being overweight my whole life has always been an issue. Bullied heavily by my peers, I fell into a severe depression and it became an even bigger issue when my adopted father lost his battle with cancer when I was only 12. As the years passed my weight gain became more rapid. I can never really remember a time in my life where I was not on a diet or on an exercise program. Even with my constant diet and exercise my depression worsened. Soon I had hit 315lbs. as a 19 year old. At 20 years old I decided to take control and had the RNY Gastric Bypass Surgery. It was the hardest thing that I have ever done and nearly died from horrible complications from it. Although this issues I had after nealy cost me my life, I felt like I would much rather take a chance and die saving my life rather than die without trying.
As I look back on my life I realize that I was put into this Earth to share my story, to show others that no matter what cards you are dealt, it is always important to be a queen or king and make the best life you can. I am now enjoying life to the best of my abilities by traveling the world and living full time in Thailand. Once you have the ability to see what life is like without limitations, why would you ever want to go back to the old you? It’s time for you to start living new!
