Weight Loss Before And After – The Ultimate Weight Loss Motivation

Motivation is an interesting topic. Zig Ziglar used to say “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.” This is true in business, and it’s also true in everything in life.

When it comes to losing weight, you can get motivated by setting a compelling goal such as losing 20 pounds, 30 pounds, 50 pounds or you simply just want to fit into your favorite clothes. After having a well-defined goal, the next step is to have a plan to achieve your goal.

You might decide to go to the gym and do weight training for 3 times a week, or join a boxing class, etc… You decide to go on a Paleo Diet, Flexitarian Diet or Intermittent Fasting. Whatever you decide to do, success requires consistency and persistence until you see the result you want.

The challenge is that most people lose their motivation very quickly. They might start working out and eating healthy food for the first few days or even weeks, then suddenly they find themselves eating foods that they’re not supposed to eat to lose weight.

This is why New Year’s Resolution doesn’t work. Statistics show that most people give up on their resolution’s plan on the second week of January.

How To Stay Motivated To Lose Weight?

#1. See The Results You Want In Advance

The best way to stay motivated is to see the result you want in advance. For example, let’s say you want to lose weight or get rid of that stubborn belly fat so you can fit into your favorite skinny jeans. The best way is to buy that jeans you want to wear now (if you haven’t got one) and hang it in your bedroom or somewhere inside your house that you can see it everyday. This will keep you motivated for sure.

Every time you see that skinny jeans, it reminds you of your goal and that will develop the “drive” or the “hunger” for you to push harder, work harder and eat better to move you closer to your target.

Whatever results you want to see, always keep your eyes on the target and never lose your focus.

#2. Find The Role Models Around You

If you want to succeed at anything, including losing weight and achieving your dream body, the fastest way is to look at people who have done it and model their mindset and strategies. This will surely get you the same outcome.

Let’s say you want to lose 20 pounds, look at people around you who have done it before, talk to them and ask them how they did it. Sure they will give you the advice. But most importantly they will give you the sense of confidence and certainty that you will be able to get the same result because they are just like you. If they can do it, you can do it too.

#3. Surround Yourself With Positive People Who Are On The Same Journey

As discussed above, you can’t expect to lose weight when you surround yourself with people who always eat junk food and never exercise. Sooner or later you will find yourself behaving the same way as these people do. Remember you are the average of the 5 people you spend most of your time with. If you want to be successful, surround yourself with successful people. If you want to be fit and healthy, then you know it, surround yourself with fit and healthy people.

It’s known for sure that you cannot have a positive life and a negative mind. If you hang out with people who have bad eating habits and they don’t look after their bodies, they will say to you like “take it easy, don’t be so hard on yourself, I’m fat but I’m happy, etc…” How do you expect to be motivated to achieve your weight loss goal when you have these beliefs? Got the point?
