My name is Laura Micetich, and I have a story to tell you. My story is one that I hope can inspire you to do the same thing I did, which was to take control of my weight and get healthy!

I’m going to share with you the exact steps I took to lose 114 pounds so that you can see how simple it really is.

I got married in 2009.

I was over-the-moon happy and excited about being married, but I had no idea just how much my life would change after the wedding.

Within 30 days of our wedding date, I gained 17 pounds. The pounds didn’t stop coming on either! By the end of my first year of marriage, I had added an additional 60 pounds to my frame.

How to lose weight and keep it off for good!

Getting started with my new lifestyle was the most tedious part of the process. I had to get serious about what I was eating, which required planning out all of my meals, setting up a schedule for when I would exercise, and getting used to a whole new routine.

Like many of us, Laura Micetich had a weight loss journey that was long and difficult – and one that she almost gave up on.

Laura struggled with her weight for years. From the time she was in elementary school, she was always large for her age. By the time she reached high school, Laura weighed over 200 pounds. She tried diet after diet with little success. Over the years she lost some weight, but always regained it back (and then some).

Laura’s tipping point came on a day like any other. She was at work when one of her co-workers made a comment to her about how much bigger she had gotten over the past few months. That comment stung, especially because it came from someone who didn’t know that Laura had already lost over 100 pounds just two years earlier only to gain it all back.

In this interview, Laura shares how that negative comment helped motivate her to finally make lasting changes to her diet and exercise habits – changes that led to the loss of 114 pounds!
