Weight Loss Story from Tiffany

Weight Loss Story from Tiffany
I began losing weight March 5th 2013, I started by pretty much cutting out fast food or at least getting smaller portions of it. For example if I went to Subway a few years back I’d get a foot long sub, now I’d get a six inch with light mayo & plenty of veggies or a salad(not that I typically would choose Subway there are much better ways to distribute your calories than Subway imo). Before I started my weight loss journey I use to eat fast food a whopping three times a day, I was in Cosmetology school and I felt like I didn’t have many other options at that point because of always being gone, when I got home I’d just want to sleep so I never cooked.
The second thing I did right away was stopped eating as many sweets, I’d replace a lot of my sweets with things with the Skinny Cow brand that are half the calories of a standard candy bar. Yes I do still eat chocolate, I believe in everything in moderation.
I began bringing things like Michelina’s and Lean Cuisines to school and using the microwave to warm them up at lunch time in the beginning which helped dramatically, yes I know there are bad things in those like preservatives but this was back when I first started. I pretty much just looked for any healthier choices with lower calories I could find.
By the time I graduated Cosmetology school in September 2013 I had lost 30lbs that was the point where people began to notice about the 20-30lb mark, my weight loss kind of went on a halt for awhile after that though because my schedule got a little messed up and messed with the balance a little, never gained anything back though I just maintained for months and months. After April 7th 2014 I decided it was time to stop messing around again, I made the initiative to get back into the groove and I began losing again, by July 2014 I had lost 50lbs total, by October 2014 I had lost 70 total & as of now I’m 90lbs down. It mainly honestly is how you eat, my eating is my everything, I try to work out about twice a week now, either Hoopnotica or some sort of Cardio to tone up because my skin has lost a lot of elasticity after 90lbs but there were times where I got busy and didn’t work out for months and STILL lost just as much weight, so don’t think the ONLY way you can lose weight is if you work out religiously.
I try to eat as clean as possible now, I eat lots of chicken and veggies, I do however still eat bread, and chocolate in moderation because I refuse to give them up. It’s not realistic to never eat the things you love.
So to answer the “Why did you decide to lose weight???” I decided to lose weight because I wanted to feel better about myself & my health, I got comments my whole entire life from about the time I was 12 years old about how fat I was. I was always “the fat friend” or “the fat girl” I wanted to be more than that, I wanted to show everyone that thought I could never lose weight they were wrong. I’m not anywhere near skinny but that’s not even the goal, the goal is HEALTHY, I’ve come so far, I don’t even care what people think or have to say about it. I’ve gained so much pride and confidence in myself I still forget sometimes I’ve even lost any weight but my progress pictures help with that tremendously. I finally FEEL HEALTHY, I always remember getting these awful pains in my rib cage and back from standing so long in Cosmetology school, I just wanted to die. I remember coming home and just looking forward to those 3 days of rest between Friday night & Tuesday morning. I can actually BREATHE now, I can walk and do things and actually feel okay. It’s just such an amazing feeling!
Last but not least to anyone trying to lose weight, PLEASE make sure you are eating ENOUGH, even if you have to calorie count when you first start out or whatever. Just do not starve yourself!! It’s horrible for you, eat AT LEAST your BMR in calories a day!!
Some day I’ll write more, but I feel like this is plenty for now.
Useful info. Lucky me I discovered your web site unintentionally, and I’m surprised why this accident didn’t happened earlier! I bookmarked it.
Your way of explaining the whole thing in this post is actually pleasant, all be able to effortlessly be aware of it, Thanks a lot.
